Brookings-Harbor Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors




The Brookings-Harbor Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Committee was formed in 1996. Their purpose is to serve as the public relations arm of the Brookings-Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

Objective 1: To promote the Brookings-Harbor area and the members of the Brookings-Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

Objective 2: To welcome new firms and businesses to the Brookings-Harbor area and to recognize existing firms that make major changes.

Objective 3: To participate wholly or by special committee of the group in other events or projects as voted on my the membership of the committee and that fit into the general purposes of the committee, and approved by the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Objective 4: Assist in greeting guests at Chamber of Commerce Forums, PM Business Connections, Ribbon-Cutting ceremonies, and other community events.

Objective 5: Encourage recognition, visibility and involvement of Chamber members.

Objective 6: To assist Chamber staff in recruiting new businesses to join the Brookings-Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

  • Ambassadors contact new members, presenting them with their New Member Information Packet and membership plaque, as well as inviting them to Chamber functions.
  • The Ambassador committee consists of chairperson, vice-chair, secretary, and corresponding secretary. Each Ambassador is expected to be on at least one active committee.
  • There are many advantages to being a Chamber Ambassador, not the least of which is having fun!! Ambassadors also meet new people and participate in community activities. They are readily recognizable in their distinctive white jackets.
  • Ambassadors attend annual Oregon State Ambassador Conventions, promoting the Brookings-Harbor area and learning new ideas to bring back and utilize in our Chamber.
  • Any Chamber member or employee of a Chamber business is eligible to become an Ambassador. All appointments to the Ambassador Committee and all Committee activities require approval of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
